Motherbox Records : News
Big weekend for Motherbox bands in April ... the 16th, 17th and 18th almost our entire active roster will be in Pennsylvania for a bunch of great shows. The Rebel Dead will then proceed down to New Orleans and we are trying to work some shows for them in that direction now. Get in touch if you can help.
The Quarterlife Crisis CD will be out in May and is the next release due out on Motherbox ... it will kick ass and you will need it!
There is a big festival in Michigan in July and Bull Dozer, Quarterlife Crisis and Superbuick will be making the trip ... our friend Ryan Rude of Knowhere Records is putting this thing together so it will be a blast ... QLC and Bull Dozer will tour together on the way out west and then split up on their opposite ways back from Michigan. details to follow.
After the QLC CD we have a few more projects in the works:
1. The 4 way split CD with Alleged Bricks, The Bristles, the 22s and Broken Heroes SHOULD be a summer release ... we'll wait and see if it comes together by then.
2. We have been talking to a great Long Island band that is currently recording - hopefully we will release their CD in the fall ... no details yet as we have not wrapped this up but I am optimistic.
3. We are working on details to release a CD by an amazing European band - again some details to iron out but they will be a great fit to our roster if we can make this work.
4. Big summer tour for Superbuick (west coast) in August ... they are writing material for a new album but I am doubtful it will be done by this tour ... and again not sure if we would be releasing this one.
5. The Rebel Dead will be recording shortly for their follow up CD ... again details to follow but from what I have seen from their performing some new songs in their live sets this is another must have.
6. We are still planning (in 2009) to release albums from some dead bands - discographys in most cases (Fisticuffs, RPOD, Race to Die) ... and the final unreleased full length from The Disenchanted ... all would be limited to 200 pressing.
