Ok....also wanted to make sure everyone who pre-ordered the O PIONEERS!!! CD w/ FREE T-SHIRT/button/patch knows that this won’t ship until the third week of FEB. We are collecting the orders and then we need to put in an order for the t-shirts which we will do at the end of the week. So that also means that the O PIONEERS!!! FREE shirt/patch/button with new CD is only good through this Friday, so if you were planning on picking this up, please do so in the next few days.
We are now officially taking pre-orders for the new BOMB THE MUSIC INDUSTRY “SCRAMBLES” CD. This was an insane visual project as the CD comes with a 32 page zine about Jeff’s random brilliance and other ramblings and a sticker decoder for the cover, digipak and yup...to date, the most expensive cd we’ve put out. Thanks JEFF!!! We appreciate you making us spend all this money on this CD. But yup.. It’s up for pre-sale. We’ll start shipping this out on FEB. 17th. Oh and vinyl... Yup, we’ll be doing vinyl, but it won’t be out until APRIL.
The Alkaline Trio REDUX of GODDAMNIT VINYL is back in stock. This pressing is limited to 297 copies on clear see through vinyl. This of course will sell out quickly, so get it while you can.
So much going on.. Here we go:
-MONKEY is on the SKA IS DEAD TOUR. They’re new album should be in our hands in the next couple weeks.
-Ben Weasel is gearing up for the recording of the new RIVERDALES release titled INVASION USA. He sent me demos for the record and it’s probably the best pop punk songs I’ve heard from him and Danny Vapid in quite some time. They hit the studio in 2 weeks.
-Classics of Love are done with their EP. This will get the released on CD and 12" at 45 speed. So a classic(no pun intended) sounding vinyl release is already within our grasp. Years ago, when I released ALKAILNE TRIO “I LIED MY FACE OFF” on vinyl, it was supposed to be on 45 speed, but I messed up and it was mastered at 33 1/3. I will not make that same mistake.
-THE QUEERS/ATOM AGE split 7" has been turned in to the manufacturing plant.. So yet another release.. In fact, we have so many releases coming out in the next few months, that it’s starting to get dizzying. Seriously.. I can’t keep track of everything. It’s insane.
And finally, we have not done a contest in so long, so here we go. To gather the artistic souls in each of you, we are doing a drawing contest. Basically draw anything Asian Man related and we will judge on the following:
This is good!!
This sucks!!
How’s that for clarity. And the prizes will be:
1st place-6 vinyl records of your choice
2nd place-6 cd’s of your choice
3rd place-any t-shirt of your choice.
We’ll run this contest through the month of FEB.
